To say that this book was amazing is an understatement.I purchased the book on Sunday and read the entire book on Monday, within 5 hours. I could not put it down, I felt like I was in the theater watching the scenes of William M. Blackshear's life as it unfolded. From Hell to Grace was inspiring, to say the least. Above all, God's amazing grace transformed him and kept him safe for God's glory. What ministered to me was that in spite of all the questionable decisions, his challenges and his wrong turns God never allowed the devil to cancel his destiny. If you are feeling challenged in your own life, I recommend that you read this book and be encouraged through William M. Blackshear's journey. If God could do it for him he can do the same for you!

This masterful piece of art is absolutely riveting.... It was a page-turner from beginning to end. It is a true life testimony to the goodness of a caring Father that we serve. The author makes God REAL and personable and most of all loving. I thank God for him removing all pretense or shame so that captives can be set free. I thank God for him being a yielded vessel.
I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! His journey takes you through a wide range of emotions. From sadness and anger to gratitude and hope. Held my attention from beginning to end. For any person who has ever been abused, who has ever pretended to be something you were not, who ever had to hustle to make it...or questioned if God could really turn your "mess" into a "message"...this is A MUST READ for you.

This book is riveting. I could not put it down. I read it in 5 hours. It felt sad in the beginning for all that he went through in his life. He takes you on his journey, and you are glued to the book. At times I was laughing out loud. He did a great job in writing his book. To look at him, you would never know that he went through all of this. He is a minister at my church. I highly recommend this book, and I know you will not be disappointed.

1 Kings Ch. 10 vs. 1-29
To say that Mr. Blackshear has faced challenges is an understatement. However, through it all he has prevailed with the grace of God surrounding him. He tells his story in such raw language and detail that you are drawn into each scene. I laughed, I cried miserably, I cheered for him when he overcame and I jeered him when he made wrong choices. This story is one of revelation and redemption, and it is a manifestation of what God can do even when we think that he has forsaken us. It serves as a reminder to all of us that even though you may have gone through hell, grace surrounds you and can pull you through. POWERFUL!
